About us —
Mu Zuo Wu is a design and make furniture studio by Un Studio, where we explore and design spaces with artisanal furnitures and objects crafted by hand.

Each piece of furniture designed and crafted slowly; materials and supporting hardwares sourced individually and made to last. In our intimate space in Singapore and research space in Suzhou, we explore how our furnitures and objects interact with and influence space.

2. Hantsuki Table



Hantsuki (Half-Moon) Table Put two together for a full moon.
The Hantsuki Table was made in solid cherry wood, and finished in lacquer using the fuki-urushi technique.

The fuki-urushi technique translated directly from Japanese means ‘wipe-urushi’.
It is a technique whereby raw lacquer is applied then wiped off repeatedly with a cloth, and is a method that gives way to the texture and grain of the wood while forming a protective waterproof coating that repels mold, and also prevents rotting and weathering.
